Become an Intern at KCEG
The Kansas Center for Economic Growth is a nonprofit, nonpartisan organization that conducts research and analysis to promote balanced state policies that help ensure all Kansans prosper.
We are currently accepting intern submissions for the summer of 2017. This is a paid, part-time position focusing on economic policy in Kansas. We offer two internship options in either communications and outreach or research and analysis.
What We Do
At KCEG, we work to advance responsible policy by informing public discussion through credible, fact-based materials. We serve policymakers, the media, and all Kansans who want to engage in making our state a place where opportunity and economic growth are widely shared.
What We Need
We are looking for highly-motivated individuals with a lot of drive and the brains to match. Promoting responsible budget and tax policy is not an easy endeavor, so perseverance is key. The team at KCEG is truly passionate about the state of Kansas, and we want our interns to have some skin in the game, too.
The summer internship will begin June 1st, 2017. Eligible applicants will have completed at least four semesters of college or are currently enrolled in a graduate program. Interns will be expected to work between 10 and 20 hours per week. Although schedules are flexible, start dates will be firm.
Please submit a cover letter explaining your interest, a resume or CV, and a writing sample of no more than 10 pages to firstname.lastname@example.org by April 1, 2017. Please include “Internship” in the subject line.
