Former State Budget Director Duane Goossen will discuss options for state tax reform and the consequences of legislative inaction in an appearance Monday in Hutchinson.

He will be the guest speaker at 7 p.m. at Hutchinson Community College’s Shears Technology Center, in an event hosted by The Mod Squad. Goossen is the Kansas Center for Economic Growth’s senior fellow, and the Kansas Center for Economic Growth will livestream the event from its Facebook page.

Goossen, who worked in the administrations of Governors Bill Graves, Kathleen Sebelius and Mark Parkinson, also will provide an overview of Gov. Sam Brownback’s tax plan and public school funding, and offer ideas for achieving financial stability, according to a press release.
